Most public pools here are run by the Berliner Bäder-Betriebe, and indoor halls are shared between schools, clubs and the public. That means public swimming (öffentliches Schwimmen) happens in set windows, which differ day to day and shrink in summer when the outdoor Sommerbäder open. Check the day's timetable for the specific pool before you go. Since 2023 anyone may swim topless in Berlin's public pools, a rule change the Bäder-Betriebe made after a discrimination complaint.
