Sightseeing costs money at the Dom, a service does not
Berlin's big churches split sightseeing from worship. The Dom charges admission to look around but not to attend a service, and at most working churches you should simply avoid wandering during a service, sit at the back and leave photography until it ends. For mosques, orthodox churches and temples, covered shoulders and knees are the safe default, women may be asked to cover their hair in a mosque, and shoes come off in prayer halls. Many listings here are congregations meeting in ordinary buildings, so contact them before turning up.
