Getting there
Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) is in the city, in the former Tan Binh district. Bus 109 runs from Terminal 3 to Saigon Bus Station near Pham Ngu Lao, about 9 km. Bus 152 runs from Terminals 1 and 2 via Ben Thanh. Taxis and ride-hailing cars wait outside arrivals.
Getting around
Metro Line 1 opened in December 2024 and runs 19.7 km from Ben Thanh to Suoi Tien. Otherwise, metered taxis and ride-hailing apps such as Grab are simplest.
When to go
The dry season runs from December to April. The rainy season runs from May to November.
Local tip
Terminal 3 is a separate building from Terminals 1 and 2, and bus 109 now serves only Terminal 3. Check your terminal before you set off.
