A Paris flat let by the night needs a registration number
Most rows here are agencies or individual flats rather than whole buildings. A private Paris flat let as a holiday rental must show a city registration number on every listing, and a resident letting their own main home is capped at 90 nights a year, down from 120 before 2025. Letting a second home short term needs a change-of-use permit that the city rarely grants. A listing with no number is a warning sign. For stays of one to ten months, the legal format is the furnished bail mobilité. Aparthotels and résidences de tourisme sit outside these caps and take stays by the night.
