- Tunateca Balfego Espai Gastronomic — Run by Balfegó, the bluefin tuna company from L'Ametlla de Mar down the Catalan coast. Worth it if you want to see how many different cuts one fish gives, from lean loin to belly. (41.3940, 2.1502)
- Lluritu — A small, loud bar where the shellfish goes straight onto the plancha with salt and oil and nothing else. Two rows in the directory; better for a round of plates at the counter than a long lunch. (41.4068, 2.1596)

S/M on the menu means ask the price per kilo first
On Catalan seafood menus, the letters S/M (según mercado, or segons mercat) next to lobster, espardenyes, red prawns or whole fish mean the price depends on the day and is charged by weight. Ask the price per kilo and roughly what your piece weighs before it goes in the pan, and nobody will think it rude. Rice dishes are a lunch thing here: locals eat arròs and paella at midday, and a place pushing paella at ten at night is usually cooking for visitors.
