The rest of the trip for a Mexican passport, from the arrival form to customs and travelling with children: Canada entry requirements.
The details for a Mexican passport.
Conditional eTA instead of a visa (CAD 7) if ALL apply: (1) you held a Canadian visitor visa in the past 10 years OR currently hold a valid US nonimmigrant visa (valid when you apply, not necessarily when you travel); (2) temporary stay, normally up to 6 months; (3) flying to or transiting a Canadian airport. By car, bus, train, boat or cruise a visitor visa is required. Mexicans have needed a visa by default since the visa requirement was reimposed in Feb 2024; Mexico is on the conditional-eTA list under the same three conditions as other eligible countries. Mexico is not currently listed in International Experience Canada. Biometrics (fingerprints and photo) are usually required with the application.
How long it must be valid.
Passport must be valid for the length of the planned stay; airlines and transit countries may require more. US citizens are advised to carry a passport; other proof of citizenship and ID is accepted at land/sea.
