Checked 10–11 Oct 2026 · official links only

What does your passport need?

Pick your passport and where you are going. You get the visa or e-authorisation, how long you can stay and the government page to apply on. No agencies, no look-alike sites.

How NUM checks

Government pages, a date and a confidence on every row.

Each passport and destination was checked against the destination's own immigration and foreign-ministry pages and the travel advice of the UK, US, Canadian, Australian, Irish and New Zealand governments. 1550 of 1948 rows are verified on an official page, 359 are likely, and 39 are not checked yet and say so.

Search results for ESTA, ETA, ETIAS or an e-visa are full of copycat sites that charge several times the real fee. Every link here is the government's own.

Questions

Before you rely on it

Is NUM a visa service?

No. NUM applies for nothing and charges nothing for any document. It tells you what your passport needs and links the government page where you apply yourself.

How current is this?

Every row was checked on 10–11 Oct 2026. Rules change without notice, so the official page always has the final word. Each page lists the changes NUM found in 2025–26 and the ones announced.

What do Verified, Likely and Not checked yet mean?

Verified: read on a government page. Likely: a reputable source says it and one official signal agrees. Not checked yet: NUM could not confirm it, so the page sends you to the official site instead of guessing.

What about work, study and digital nomad visas?

Each destination page lists the official routes for staying longer: work permits, student visas, working holiday schemes, digital nomad visas, long-stay, family and investor routes, with the government link for each.
