Worth knowing

The details for an Indian passport.

30-day tourist visa exemption since 15 Sep 2026 (was 60 days from 15 Jul 2024 to 14 Sep 2026; arrivals on or before 14 Sep keep the stay stamped). Tourism only: business meetings and conferences need a visa. Extendable once by up to 30 days at a Thai immigration office (form TM.7, THB 1,900, officer's discretion). Thai embassies (London, Washington) and FCDO say the exemption may be used only twice per calendar year; TAT's summary of the Royal Gazette orders describes the two-per-year cap as applying to land-border entries. Immigration may ask for onward ticket within 30 days, accommodation and THB 20,000 per person / 40,000 per family. For longer stays apply for the TR e-Visa (60 days). TDAC arrival card required. India is on the 30-day exemption list in the final Royal Gazette orders (31 Aug 2026); the May 2026 draft had put India on visa on arrival, so older articles saying 'VOA' are out of date. Indian travellers were visa-exempt (60 days) before 15 Sep 2026.
