How long it must be valid.
At least 6 months from the date of entry (u.ae, FCDO, State Dept). Residence permit holders: 3 months (FCDO). The 12-page US emergency passport is not accepted. Canada: temporary and emergency passports cannot be used to enter (accepted for exit and transit); you must leave on the passport you entered with.
