A NUM person files the Vietnam e-Visa on evisa.gov.vn for everyone in your group. NUM’s fee is $9.99 plus the US$25 single entry / US$50 multiple government fee at cost. You answer any eligibility questions yourself, the decision goes to your own email, and your passport details are deleted the moment it’s filed. NUM isn’t the government and can’t promise approval.
The details for an Irish passport.
e-Visa open to all nationalities since 15 Aug 2023 (official portal sets no nationality limit; Taiwan MOFA states all countries and territories). It is tied to the entry and exit checkpoints you choose; stays beyond 90 days need a visa through the Immigration Department; tourist visas cannot be extended. Apply only on the government portal (evisa.gov.vn / thithucdientu.gov.vn): many look-alike sites charge extra. Irish DFA (updated 22 Apr 2026): Irish citizens require a visa; evisa.gov.vn is the only official portal; get a multiple-entry e-Visa if visiting Laos or Cambodia and returning. Irish DFA gives the Phu Quoc visa-free stay as up to 15 days (US State Dept: 30). Ireland is not on either 45-day exemption list.
How long it must be valid.
At least 6 months remaining from the date of arrival (FCDO, US State Dept); Canada says 6 months beyond your expected departure, so allow for that. Enter and exit on the same passport; damaged passports have led to refused entry or exit. Taiwan MOFA notes a visa's validity must end at least 30 days before the passport expires.
