Arrival forms are free or nearly so on the official site. Sites that charge to “process” one are private services.
What Singapore checks.
- Before you go. No ETA scheme. From 30 Jan 2026 ICA issues No-Boarding Directives (NBD) to airlines at Changi and Seletar for travellers it assesses as undesirable or inadmissible; airlines may check SGAC submission before boarding. A traveller denied boarding must write to ICA and get approval before rebooking.
- Your passport. Passport must be valid at least 6 months from the date of entry (ICA; also Japan MOFA and Germany's Foreign Office; Ireland's DFA words it as 6 months beyond intended departure). Also required for transit per Canada. German ID cards are not accepted. Residents have no minimum.
- Onward ticket. Officers may ask for a return or onward ticket and proof of funds; transit passengers using the 96-hour VFTF must hold a confirmed onward ticket.
- Money for the stay. May be requested at entry (sufficient funds for the stay).
- Travel insurance. Not required for entry.
- At the border. Iris, face and fingerprints are recorded on entry and departure (automated lanes for most visitors). Smartraveller notes children under 6 are exempt from thumbprint scans.
- Also. Visit Pass is an e-Pass sent by email: give a valid email on the SGAC and check the days granted. Overstaying can bring fines, jail, caning and deportation.
- Also. Etomidate and analogues listed as Specified Psychoactive Substances under the renamed Tobacco and Vaporisers Control Act from 1 May 2026 (fine up to SGD 20,000 and/or up to 10 years' jail).

- 2025-09-01 — Tougher vaping penalties: first-offence composition fine raised to SGD 700 (adults); re-offending short-term visitors banned from re-entry; etomidate vapes treated as Class C drugs, with deportation and entry bans for foreigners caught with them.

- Compare the fee. If the price is far above the government fee, you’re paying a private service. It should say so plainly.
