Verified means NUM read it on a government page on 10–11 Oct 2026. Likely means a reputable source says it and one official page agreed. Not checked yet means NUM could not confirm it: use the official page. Fees are as published on that date and can change.
The rules everyone meets at the border
Passport
Passport must be valid at least 6 months from the date of entry (ICA; also Japan MOFA and Germany's Foreign Office; Ireland's DFA words it as 6 months beyond intended departure). Also required for transit per Canada. German ID cards are not accepted. Residents have no minimum. Safe standard: 6 months beyond the day you leave.
Arrival card
SG Arrival Card (SGAC) with e-health declaration. Within 3 days before arrival (arrival day counts as day 1) Fee: Free.
Official form · free on the official site
Border systems for every visitor
No ETA scheme. From 30 Jan 2026 ICA issues No-Boarding Directives (NBD) to airlines at Changi and Seletar for travellers it assesses as undesirable or inadmissible; airlines may check SGAC submission before boarding. A traveller denied boarding must write to ICA and get approval before rebooking.
Onward ticket
Officers may ask for a return or onward ticket and proof of funds; transit passengers using the 96-hour VFTF must hold a confirmed onward ticket.
Proof of funds
May be requested at entry (sufficient funds for the stay).
Travel insurance
Not required for entry.
Vaccinations
Yellow fever certificate required if arriving from, or having been in within the previous 6 days, a yellow-fever-risk country; otherwise quarantine or refusal possible.
Cash to declare at customs
Cash and bearer negotiable instruments above SGD 20,000 (or equivalent) must be reported on arrival and departure.
Taxes, levies and fees
No visitor levy, arrival fee or departure tax payable by travellers at the airport; airport charges are built into airfares.
Medicines, vapes and banned items
E-cigarettes/vapes: illegal to bring in, possess or use. From 1 Sep 2025 a first offence is a SGD 700 composition fine for adults; short-term visitors who re-offend are banned from re-entering; anyone caught with etomidate ('Kpod') vapes may be deported and banned, and importers of etomidate vapes face 3-20 years' jail and caning. Chewing gum: banned, including nicotine gum, even in transit. Medicines: up to 3 months' supply without approval; anything containing controlled substances (e.g. many ADHD, strong pain and sleep medicines) needs HSA approval applied for at least 2 weeks before arrival. Cannabis/CBD and drugs used abroad: drug tests on arrival, severe penalties incl. death penalty.
Travelling with children
No Singapore-specific parental consent letter rule found in the official sources checked.

Your checklist, with the dates it is due
NUM builds it for your passport and your travel dates: the authorisation and when to apply, the arrival card and the day it opens, what to carry at the border, your own country's exit rules, and a calendar file for every deadline.
Every document here is issued by a government, and the official link is the only place to get it. Most arrival cards and many authorisations are free. NUM is not a visa service and cannot apply for anything. Rules change without notice: the official page always has the final word.
