Ask about language before you ask about difficulty
A good share of any escape room is reading: coded notes, riddles, clues hidden in text. In Rome many rooms were designed for Italian players first, so an English-speaking group needs a game that has genuinely been translated, not just an English briefing at the door. When you book, ask whether the clues themselves are in English and whether the game master can give hints in English over the intercom.
