Berlin's club doors are famously selective, but hotel bars work the other way: non-guests are welcome and nobody at the entrance decides whether you look right. Dress codes are rarely written down. Smart casual covers every bar here, and trainers are fine almost everywhere in a city that does not really do ties. Rooftop spaces are the exception to the open door, as they can be seasonal, weather-dependent or reserved for guests at busy times, so ask at reception before heading up.
