- Türkischer Märtyrerfriedhof — The Turkish cemetery beside Şehitlik, which dates back to the late eighteenth century and is one of the oldest Muslim burial grounds in Germany. A quiet place; walk it as you would any cemetery. (52.4817, 13.4094)
- Berliner Moschee — The Ahmadiyya mosque in Wilmersdorf, built in the 1920s and the oldest surviving mosque building in Germany. Its small white domes and minarets are a surprise in a street of villas. (52.4875, 13.3116)

The easiest day to visit is 3 October
Each year on 3 October, German Unity Day, many mosques across the country open their doors for the Tag der offenen Moschee, with tours, tea and people to answer questions — it is the simplest way for a non-Muslim to visit. On other days, most mosques welcome respectful visitors outside the five daily prayers; avoid Friday midday prayer, when prayer halls are full. Cover shoulders and knees, take your shoes off at the entrance, and women should bring a scarf for the prayer hall. Ask before taking photographs of people.
