Staying over three months changes the paperwork
Minimum stay is set by each operator, from one night at an aparthotel to around a month for furnished-flat agencies, so filter by your dates first. The rule that matters for long visitors is registration: under Germany's registration law, someone without a German address who stays more than three months must register their residence (Anmeldung) at a Bürgeramt, and that needs a landlord's confirmation form, the Wohnungsgeberbestätigung. Not every serviced-apartment operator will issue one, so if your stay could run past three months, ask before you book.
