Verified means NUM read it on a government page on 10–11 Oct 2026. Likely means a reputable source says it and one official page agreed. Not checked yet means NUM could not confirm it: use the official page. Fees are as published on that date and can change.

For every visitor

The rules everyone meets at the border

Passport

At least 6 months' validity. US State Dept: 6 months beyond the end of the planned stay; FCDO: 6 months after arrival; Smartraveller: at least 6 months. Indian visa-free visitors: 6 months beyond the stay (DFA policy). Safest: 6 months beyond departure. Safe standard: 6 months beyond the day you leave.

Arrival card

eTravel. Register within 72 hours before arrival (FCDO; BI advisory 5 Oct 2026). Show the QR code; some airlines refuse boarding without it. Departure registration is also required for departing Filipinos (Smartraveller: within 72 hours and no less than 3 hours before departure). Fee: Free.

Official form · free on the official site

Border systems for every visitor

No ETA for visa-exempt visitors. eTravel QR code (free) is mandatory for all arrivals. Knowingly false eTravel information can lead to refusal of entry. All visa-free entries require no derogatory record with the Bureau of Immigration.

Onward ticket

Return or onward ticket required. Smartraveller: the ticket's departure date must be no later than 30 days after arrival (i.e. within the visa-free stay, unless you extend). FCDO: immigration or airlines may ask for it. Explicitly required for the Indian 14/30-day and Chinese 7-day routes.

Proof of funds

May be requested; required for Indian nationals on the 14-day route (proof of financial capacity). No fixed amount published.

Travel insurance

Not an entry requirement for visa-free visitors (not listed by FCDO, State Dept or Smartraveller).

Vaccinations

Yellow fever certificate if arriving from a yellow-fever transmission-risk country; polio certificate if arriving from certain polio-risk countries (FCDO). eTravel includes a health declaration checked by the Bureau of Quarantine.

Cash to declare at customs

Philippine pesos: max PHP 50,000 in or out without BSP authorisation. Foreign currency (cash or cheques) over USD 10,000 or equivalent must be declared on arrival and departure. Declare prohibited, taxable or dutiable goods.

Taxes, levies and fees

No visitor levy. Departure tax PHP 850 (or USD equivalent) when leaving from Mactan-Cebu (FCDO); Smartraveller says departure tax applies at Mactan-Cebu and Clark airports; none at Manila (NAIA). Fees apply for stay extensions at the Bureau of Immigration.

Medicines, vapes and banned items

Cannabis, including medical marijuana and vape cartridges, is illegal even with a foreign prescription. Do not bring firearms or ammunition, even as souvenirs. Carry prescription medicines in original packaging with the prescription and check legality with the Bureau of Customs. Severe drug penalties.

Travelling with children

Non-Filipino children aged 14 or under (Smartraveller: under 15) travelling without either parent need a Waiver of Exclusion Ground (WEG) from the Bureau of Immigration. An adult accompanying a child under 12 who is not related within the fourth degree may face severe penalties (State Dept).

Your checklist, with the dates it is due

NUM builds it for your passport and your travel dates: the authorisation and when to apply, the arrival card and the day it opens, what to carry at the border, your own country's exit rules, and a calendar file for every deadline.

Every document here is issued by a government, and the official link is the only place to get it. Most arrival cards and many authorisations are free. NUM is not a visa service and cannot apply for anything. Rules change without notice: the official page always has the final word.
