Verified means NUM read it on a government page on 10–11 Oct 2026. Likely means a reputable source says it and one official page agreed. Not checked yet means NUM could not confirm it: use the official page. Fees are as published on that date and can change.

For every visitor

The rules everyone meets at the border

Passport

FCDO: passport expiry date at least 90 days after the date you arrive. US State Dept: valid for 90 days at the time of entry. (Older guidance and some airlines use 6 months - check with your airline.) Netherlands: at least 3 months on arrival. Safe standard: 6 months left on the day you arrive.

Arrival card

No arrival card for most visitors.

Border systems for every visitor

ETA-IL mandatory since 1 Jan 2025 for all visa-exempt nationals (ILS 25, valid 2 years or until passport expiry, visits up to 90 days). Everyone else needs a visa; Israeli citizens must use their Israeli passport. Israeli embassies: apply only on the official gov.il portal; answer within 72 hours. Irish DFA: ETA-IL is needed by visitors of all ages and allows multiple entries.

Onward ticket

Not stated as a formal requirement by FCDO or US State Dept; border officers can question visitors at length and refuse entry.

Travel insurance

Not listed as an entry requirement by FCDO or US State Dept.

Vaccinations

No vaccinations required for entry (US State Dept).

Cash to declare at customs

Declare NIS 50,000 or more (or equivalent) when entering or leaving by air, NIS 12,000 or more by land (US State Dept). Smartraveller still quotes USD 10,000 - use the stricter figure if unsure.

Taxes, levies and fees

ETA-IL fee ILS 25. Land-border crossings charge exit/entry fees that have risen at short notice (e.g. Taba since March 2026).

Medicines, vapes and banned items

Some medicines legal elsewhere are restricted or illegal; carry a copy of the prescription and a doctor's letter, and enough for the whole trip.

Travelling with children

Children 17 and under travelling alone or with one parent should carry a parental consent letter plus accommodation and contact details. Children with at least one Israeli parent must use an Israeli passport.

Your checklist, with the dates it is due

NUM builds it for your passport and your travel dates: the authorisation and when to apply, the arrival card and the day it opens, what to carry at the border, your own country's exit rules, and a calendar file for every deadline.

Every document here is issued by a government, and the official link is the only place to get it. Most arrival cards and many authorisations are free. NUM is not a visa service and cannot apply for anything. Rules change without notice: the official page always has the final word.
